Linkin Park : Crime Scene Investigators

Band’s hit used as thematic score in upcoming episode.

Linkin Park’s current Top 10 hit “Leave Out All The Rest” will be featured in the upcoming November 6th episode of CSI.

The episode will not only open and close with the track, but it has been named after the song, as well.

While using a hit song in a television series is hardly new, the CSI episode will take things one step further by incorporating the melody from “Leave Out All The Rest” throughout the episode to underline and score the storyline, which focuses on lead character Gil Grissom (William Petersen), who’s departing the hit series, and his unresolved love with Sara Sidle (Jorja Fox).

“We found the melody and lyrics of the song to work so well with our story, that we underscored Grissom’s emotional journey with it,” says Jason Alexander, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation’s music supervisor. “We’ve been long admirers of Linkin Park and it was wonderful for us to collaborate on something special like this.”
