Detachment Filming Locations

August 14th, 2010 thewpap 1 comment

Just a quick update regarding the filming of ‘Detachment’.   So far filming has taken place in NY at Parkway Hospital in Queens, and Mineola High School, Long Island.   It has not been confirmed that Billy has been on location just yet.  You can stay up to date on the filming locations for the movie on IMDB.

Also, thank you to everyone who has contacted us about the ‘new’ fake Facebook profile.   I do believe the Petersens have been made aware of this profile as well.  I know several of you have or plan to report the profile,  as we mentioned in our site update of July 26th, the Petersens did confirm to us that Billy does not have a Facebook account or any other social media account for that matter, so if you want to report the profile, it is entirely up to you.

William Petersen finds first post-’CSI’ role

August 6th, 2010 thewpap 6 comments

The Hollywood Reporter has released information regarding Billy’s next film role.   The movie is called ‘Detachment’ and stars Adrian Brody, Christina Hendricks, Lucy Liu and James Caan.

Source : The Hollywood Reporter

In his first screen role since departing “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation,” William Petersen has joined the cast of Tony Kaye’s indie drama “Detachment.”

“Mad Men’s” Christina Hendricks and Lucy Liu also have come aboard.

Kaye, the hard-edged director who made “American History X,” has assembled an ensemble cast for his high school-set drama that includes Adrien Brody, Bryan Cranston, James Caan and Marcia Gay Harden.

Carl Lund’s script centers on a normally detached substitute teacher (Brody) who becomes invested in the students and teachers at the troubled school where he works and grows close to a homeless teen working as a prostitute.

Petersen will play a Vietnam veteran who teaches history. The character gets in trouble when, in a bid to teach tolerance, he shows a gay film in class.

Hendricks will play a teacher who urges Brody to commit to teaching full-time and might be a romantic interest. Liu will play a school psychologist who grows frustrated with her students’ incompetence.

Bingo Gubelmann, Austin Stark, Benji Kohn and Greg Shapiro are producing the film, which recently began shooting in New York.

Detachment’ on IMDB.

From Entertainment Weekly’s Ausiello Files:

Question: Any chance of seeing Grissom even for a tiny moment on CSI this season? —Juliana
Ausiello:
I’m 92 percent certain the next time you see Grissom will be in the show’s series finale.

CBS Press Tour Party Scoops from TV Guide

CSI show runner Carol Mendelsohn tells me Bill Irwin will be reprising his role as inmate Nathan Haskell in the show’s 11th season premiere, then return for three additional episodes in a story arc that will finally introduce the wife of Laurence Fishburne’s Dr. Raymond Langston. “Toward the end of the season, Mrs. Langston will play a pivotal role,” says Mendelsohn. Plus, hearing that Marg Helgenberger has decided to end her long run as Catherine Willows this season, Mendelsohn says she plans to “start begging on my knees as the season progresses. No one ever leaves the CSI family, so we’ll see.” Finally, Mendelsohn has been speaking with Jorja Fox (Sara) about how to explain to the audience why Sara has been apart from her husband Grissom for so long. Unfortunately, she has so far been unsuccessful in her repeated attempts to sway William Petersen back for a guest spot to explain the divide.

Planned Updates & Other News

July 26th, 2010 thewpap Comments off

We just wanted to give an quick update regarding some plans we have for The WPAP over the coming months.

We do have a brand new layout in the works, it is something we have been wanting for some time and we hope this will make everything on the site easier to find, it’s a big site and very easy to miss sections that are definitely worth checking out .   We also have plenty of images to upload to The Gallery, so we will be spreading those out over the next few months.

Flyovers on CD was due to be released yesterday, unfortunately it doesn’t look like Amazon have received their stock yet.   Do let us know what you think of it once you receive your copy.

We did receive some feedback from Billy regarding our Victory Gardens Fundraiser, as you all know the theatre means a great deal to him and he thanked everyone for their donations.

Lastly, we have received several emails from concerned fans regarding a profile on Facebook claiming to be Billy, we did check with the Petersens directly over the weekend and they confirmed that Billy does not have a Facebook page, they are also aware of the profile.   We hope that clears that issue up.

Enjoy your summers everyone!
