CSI: Vegas
In early 2020 it was reported a ‘CSI’ Event Series was in its preliminary stages to mark the 20th anniversary of the original show, with plans to air in October 2020. At that time both William Petersen and Jorja Fox had been approached about the show.
In August 2020, it was further reported that the Event Series was ‘quietly moving forward’ and that Billy and Jorja were in negotiations to return, and casting was underway to add 4 new members to the team.
In March 2021, CSI: Vegas had been picked up by CBS and was confirmed to be airing during the 2021-2022 season.
Original series stars William Petersen and Jorja Fox will reprise the roles of Gil Grissom and Sara Sidle. The series opens a brand new chapter in Las Vegas, the city where it all began. Facing an existential threat that could bring down the Crime Lab, a brilliant new team of forensic investigators must welcome back old friends and deploy new techniques to preserve and serve justice in Sin City.
Along with Petersen and Fox, the new series will also star Paula Newsome, Matt Lauria, Mel Rodriguez, and Mandeep Dhillon. The show will debut during the 2021-2022 broadcast season. It was first reported as being in development at CBS last year.
In May 2021, CBS released their first official look at CSI: Vegas featuring interviews with the cast and crew.
“Legacy” — An attack on Jim Brass kicks off a twisted conspiracy targeting the Las Vegas crime lab. Sara Sidle returns to investigate with a new team of CSIs on the series premiere of CSI: VEGAS, will air on Wednesdays, from Oct. 6 2021 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network and available streaming on Paramount+
