Billy is set to appear back on the Steppenwolf stage next year in Samuel Beckett’s Endgame. We’ll be posting more information about this production, tickets, etc when the information becomes available.
By Chris Jones of the Chicago Tribune:
William Petersen takes on Beckett next season at Steppenwolf
The “CSI” star William Petersen will be doing Samuel Beckett at the Steppenwolf Theatre next season—he’ll be playing a Hamm. And Tracy Letts will be back onstage in a new production of David Mamet’s “American Buffalo,” directed by Amy Morton.
Petersen joined the ensemble in 2008. His appearance—alongside Rondi Reed, Francis Guinan and Ian Barford—as the tyrannical character Hamm in Frank Galati’s production of the absurdist allegory “Endgame” (April 1-June 6, 2010) is among several intriguing highlights of Steppenwolf’s 2009-10 season, officially announced on Tuesday. “That kind of cast makes the show a pleasure,” says artistic director Martha Lavey.
Also as a reminder Billy is to receive his Hollywood Star today, we’ll be posting photos and clips from the ceremony as and when they become available, so check back with us later today.
