As you may remember last month we posted information that there were further advanced previews of DETACHMENT in New York.
We came across a review from one of the advanced previews.

Movie Review by Matthew Schuchman- Four and a half out of Five ‘Staches.(No real photos from the film are available yet as it still listed as being in post production, so enjoy this Adrien Brody headshot, instead).
Tony Kaye, the director of “Detachment” is best known for making “American History X.” He has done a handful of films since, but nothing seemed to garner much attention. While “Detachment” is still in post production, a lot of the work that has to be done deals more with sound than anything else. They could put the film in theaters the way it is now and have no worries as “Detachment” is nothing less than incredible.

Can’t wait for it to come out.
Hi, I was just wondering if you had any inside-information as to (1) when a trailer will be released and (2) when the movie itself will be released, either in theatres or on DVD?
I’m really excited for this movie, obviously because of Billy but also because it looks like the kind of movie I’d be interested in even if my favourite actor wasn’t in it. A great review only makes me more excited, though from the kind of movie it is (smaller, independent film) I doubt it will be in theatres in my town. Oh well. I guess I’ll have to buy it on DVD. What a hardship – more Billy to add to my collection. 🙂
@H
Don’t have anything we can share on dates for trailers or release dates at this time but we do have some general updates planned re. Detachment later this week.
I’m so curious as to how wide the distribution will be for this one. I hope it hits more than art houses.

Thanks for getting back to me, and for the updates. I guess I’ll just have to hang out and see what happens.
