Music to every Billy fan’s ears. Billy is back in theatre in Chicago this fall, in the new play by Tracy Letts, THE MINUTES.
From the Chicago Tribune
William Petersen is joining the cast of the much-anticipated new Tracy Letts play “The Minutes,” Steppenwolf Theatre announced Friday.
Also added to the cast are ensemble members Kevin Anderson, James Vincent Meredith and Sally Murphy, joining the previously announced Francis Guinan and Ian Barford. (Tim Hopper is no longer in the cast due to a scheduling conflict, according to the announcement.)
Petersen, a Steppenwolf ensemble member and Evanston native, is best known for his work on television’s “CSI” and is a regular on Chicago stages; he was last at Steppenwolf for 2013’s “Slowgirl.”
“The Minutes,” a political thriller penned by Letts during last fall’s presidential campaign, will have its world premiere at Steppenwolf in November and then is slated to transfer directly to Broadway with its Chicago cast. It’s being directed by artistic director Anna D. Shapiro.
In separate news, I finally got around to uploading the clip of Billy singing at the Cubs this year, which you can download in our media section.
