Firstly, we hope everyone has been keeping safe and well during these challenging times.
Going to go a little off topic for the first part of this post, but it is an important topic.
We know several of our visitors to this site have been going through some tough times the last couple of months, and you have certainly been in our thoughts. We can only hope we are now over the worst of this and things will be getting back to normal soon where ever you may be in the world.
It has been difficult for many to stay positive, which is very understandable, and that is why we wanted to raise some awareness as there are some wonderful organisations/charities out there to help.
World Mental Health Day is not until October, but there is still a lot of awareness being raised throughout the year. Mental Health Awareness Week is coming up in the UK later this month and here is the link to the Mental Health Organisation website which has lots of great resources, especially if you are experiencing this for the first time.
We would encourage anyone who has been struggling to reach out to your local organisations, friends and family, you are not alone. For those of you who know someone who maybe lives alone and you haven’t heard from them in a while, do reach out to them as well.
Now, on to some Billy news! There is some light at the end of tunnel for Billy fans. In case you missed our Facebook posts last week, the Chicago Tribune have stated that…
Steppenwolf will not produce a live show at its Lincoln Park theater until the first preview of “Good Night, and Good Luck” on Oct. 22.
So there is still a chance to see Billy live in theatre towards the end of this year, but still a little early to say, given what is going on with the travel industry as well.
In addition to this, the theatre is also planning some streaming events for Members Only and Billy is currently signed up to be a part of THE AMERICAN CLOCK in June.
In mid-June, ensemble member Austin Pendleton will direct a starry cast of more than 30 ensemble members — with John Malkovich, Joan Allen, Laurie Metcalf and William Petersen added to some of the names above — in a radio-play version of Arthur Miller’s “The American Clock.”
