Beyond Fest celebrates William Petersen, who made two iconic ’80s crime classics in one year
Beyond Fest will screen “To Live and Die in L.A.” and “Manhunter” on Saturday at the Egyptian Theatre, with actor William Petersen attending for a Q&A after each show.
The two projects were Petersen’s first major film roles, working with distinctive filmmakers William Friedkin and Michael Mann.
“Anthony Hopkins is fine,” Petersen says, but Brian Cox’s serial killer in “Manhunter” is “my Lecktor.”
