Victory Gardens Fundraiser
This Fundraiser ran through October – November 2009. The monies received were donated in Billy’s name to Victory Gardens Theater. We raised a total of $1,500 Details of this Fundraiser are below.
As you will know from our previous fundraiser and browsing information on this site, Billy has very close ties to the Victory Gardens Theater and has been very good friends with the theater’s Artistic Director, Dennis Zacek for over 30 years. He became an Associate Artist with the theater back in 1998 and also earned his Equity Card whilst performing in Dillinger at VGT in 1978.
With Billy’s hugely successful return to the Victory Gardens to perform in Blackbird earlier this year, we have decided to once again hold another fundraiser to help raise money for VGT.
We really cannot say enough wonderful things about the theater; they truly imbue the local artistic community with new and fresh ideas, they bring the experience of live theater into people’s lives on such a different level than other theaters that they not only have the support of Billy and Chicago theatergoers, they draw visitors from all over the world as well.
The WPAP is very proud to not only show our own support for the theater, but to organize this fundraiser for them as well.

The total monies raised will be donated in Billy’s name to Victory Gardens. At the end of the fundraiser The WPAP will round up the donation total to the nearest $100. In addition to that, all monies received from the purchases of the Victory Gardens Book that is available in our WPAP Store will also be added.
In conjunction with this Fundraiser, we will be having a ‘GIVEAWAY‘ of Memorabilia related to Victory Gardens Theater and/or Billy’s involvement with the theater. For more information about the Giveaway please visit this page.
